The Black Rocket pub

The Black Rock in Wakefield has become the model for The Black Rocket pub in our story. It’s a beautiful pub and I spent an hour one Christmas Eve in there, once. The Christmas decorations were overpowering.

I photographed the pub with my mobile phone and traced off most of the structure direct from the computer screen using a piece of tracing paper. I then used that rough on my light pad to ink the final drawing. It seemed the quickest way.
