The Bletchley Batman
Had a dream last night based in the new The Batman world. Like watching a rented video of the continueing adventures of Gotham's Finest in my head for free. I visited Bletchley to see family last week and seeing discarded eletric scooters everywhere was certainly entertaining so Joker riding around town on one only seems fair.
Melish Court was always on the horizon. As a kid in the 1970's I would walk to the paper shop beneath the block of flats to get my weekly comics from Bunces. For some reason they always seemed to be organised enough as a newsagent to get 2000AD in and out on the shelf in time for my morning visit. Melish Court had a reputation. Fron Nazi BNP graffiti daubed walls to witches jumping off the 13th floor. It was a place that everyone knew but no one had been in. It's up for demolition now, something about asbestos.
Where did Barnaby Gru come from? A spoonerism of Barney McGrew from Trumpton. Who can fathom the dreaming brain.
